Club M is a non-profit organization that was established on 27 November 1988 for the purpose of carrying out social, recreational and other activities which are beneficial to the members and to the Mauritian community in Toronto and surrounding areas as a whole. It also aims at enhancing the Mauritian cultural heritage in the framework of Canadian multi-cultural policies, fostering unity and friendship among Mauritian in the Toronto and surrounding areas and contributing to the development of a Mauritian community.

Club M (Singapore) is a non-profit organization founded on March 20, 2003 for the purpose of bringing the Mauritian community in Singapore closer together. Being from various multi-cultural backgrounds, our members enhance the Mauritian image of a truly united nation.
Most of the current Club M’s members graduated from the two local Universities in Singapore, namely The National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), between 1997 and 2002.

The vision of our organization is to promote the multiple facets of the island of Mauritius to the Mauritian community as well as other residents of the beautiful city of Montreal (and abroad) who are interested by the Mauritian culture. To accomplish our vision, we plan on being actively engaged in providing you with exceptional service through the promotion and planning of Mauritian events ranging from parties and cultural events to sporting events with a young fresh Mauritian twist. These events are planned from A to Z from the foundation of this very same vision by 5 youthful Mauritian friends well known to Montreal’s Mauritian community. With all this said, come join us in our venture filled with new concepts and ideas, show your support for Montreal’s growing Mauritian community, and become a part of this project filled with lots of fun and Mauritian excitement.

Founded in 1827, the University of Toronto is Canada’s largest and most distinguished university. Consistently ranked Canada’s top research-intensive university by Maclean’s magazine, U of T offers teaching programs in 17 academic divisions. Its programs are held on the historic St. George campus in downtown Toronto, on campuses in Mississauga and Scarborough and in nine fully affiliated teaching hospitals in Toronto. Along with the diversity of a world-class university, U of T also offers the intimate scale of small college life. The university is composed of 7 colleges, each with a distinctive feel and sense of community. It has more than 340 student clubs and organizations on all three campuses and innumerable activities ranging from cultural events at Hart House to intercollegiate and intramural sporting activities.

International Student Centre
The International Student Centre (ISC) is located in a heritage property known as Cumberland House at 33 St. George Street on the on the south side of the University’s St. George campus. The goal of the ISC is to provide services that promote and support international education at the university. All members of the university community, both international students and Canadians are welcome to come to the ISC and meet in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.

The largest academic unit at U of T, largest faculty in Canada. The Faculty of Arts and Science is larger than the University of Guelph and Trent University combined. 29 academic departments; eight colleges; various graduate centres, such as the Centre for Comparative Literature, the Centre for Medieval Studies and the Institute for the History and Philosophy of Science and Technology; a division of the environment, and various multidisciplinary programs including the David Chu Program in Asia Pacific studies, Ibero-American studies, American studies, European studies, commerce and human biology. 2,000 courses offered in some 300 programs, Over 40 languages taught, More than half of the Faculty’s students identify as being from visible minorities; approximately 60% are female.
Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering

Established in 1873 as the School of Practical Science, we became known as the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering in 1906 and are currently Canada’s largest engineering teaching and research institution. The Faculty has close to 3,900 undergraduate students and approximately 1,350 graduate students. We have 212 faculty members and approximately 25,000 alumni.

Founded in 1878 by Bishop Isaac Hellmuth and the Anglican Diocese of Huron as “The Western University of London Ontario,” Western is one of Canada’s oldest and best universities. Ryerson University was founded in 1948 as Ryerson Institute of Technology. It is named after Egerton Ryerson, the founder of public education in Ontario.
Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD)

The Ontario College of Art & Design (OCAD) is Canada’s largest university of art and design, with a specialization in creativity and innovation. Established in 1876 by the Ontario Society of Artists, the College was originally known as the Ontario School of Art, and was incorporated as the Ontario College of Art in 1912. The College was the first of its kind in Canada to be dedicated exclusively to the education of professional artists in fine and commercial art. In 1996, it was renamed the Ontario College of Art & Design. Today, OCAD is the third largest of the approximately 40 professional art and design universities in North America.

Concordia’s more than 180 undergraduate programs are divided into four Faculties: Arts and Science, Engineering and Computer Science, Fine Arts, and the John Molson School of Business. Many programs also offer a “co-operative” component, whereby students get work experience while they study.

University of British Columbia

Only 30 minutes from the heart of downtown Vancouver, the University of British Columbia holds an international reputation for excellence in advanced research and learning. Mauritius

As a dynamic university, the UoM has developed a well deserved national, regional and international reputation for its research and teaching programmes. University of Technology Mauritius

The University of Technology, Mauritius has the determination to become one of the leading tertiary education institutions of the region. UTM is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities. The building of the new campus near Moka in the coming years will enable the UTM to increase its number of students, the number of programmes offered and provide better facilities.

The Ebene CyberCity is the first of its kind of a new generation of IT parks in this part of the world. The construction of Ebène CyberCity is a historical milestone towards achieving the Government’s objective of transforming Mauritius into a diversified, high-tech, high income services and knowledge economy.
Situated in the picturesque neighbourhood of the “Ebène Triangle”, at just 15 minutes drive from the capital city Port-Louis and less than an hour’s drive from the International Airport, the CyberCity provides a very high quality environment to live, work and play IT.
Spread over an area of about 172 acres, the Ebène CyberCity is divided into 7 zones, with each zone being provided with water, power, roads, drainage and other facilities. The entire CyberCity is wired with optic-fibre and copper cables to provide high speed international bandwidth on tap.
